The Dirty Heads' Newest Video Shot on SCARLET DRAGON
September 25th, 2014

The Dirty Heads have released the music video for "Silence," a song off their latest Album Sound of Change, and one of the first music videos to be shot entirely using SCARLET DRAGON.

Shot in front of an exclusive group of fans, the band wanted to recreate the raw energy of a live performance for the video. To achieve the visual of a live show, The Dirty Heads' lighting engineer, Joey Troup, brought in the ambient lighting used while the band is on tour. Pairing the SCARLET DRAGON with the recently released DSMC Skin Tone-Highlight OLPF (optical low-pass filter) allowed the 6K RED DRAGON sensor to avoid magenta flares on the lighting's vibrant colors while also maintaining the fidelity of the dark background images. Looking to maintain stability and flow throughout longer cuts, the crew used a DJI Ronin gimbal system to make the transitions smooth between each of the band members while they performed the entire song throughout each take.
