EPIC DRAGON To Take Flight with Wing-Suit Daredevil Joby Ogwyn
December 15th, 2014

The highly anticipated new film, Perfect Flight: Return to Everest, began principal photography earlier this year. The upcoming release starring wing-suit daredevil, Joby Ogwyn, will take viewers on a birds' eye adventure as he and others soar through destinations in the Swiss Alps. Along for the ride with the Perfect Flight team is the EPIC-M RED DRAGON (Carbon Fiber). With its ability to capture up to 6K resolution at frame rates exceeding 100 fps the EPIC-M RED DRAGON (Carbon Fiber) is uniquely suited for high-speed action sports, giant screen productions, and 4K distribution.

The highlight and culmination of the film will follow Joby Ogwyn as he jumps from Mount Everest, the highest mountain peak in the world. In an interview with Market Wired, Greg Wells, CEO of 360 Entertainment & Productions said:

"Joby is the Michael Jordan of his sport‹ And the supporting team behind Perfect Flight is delivering at the same level of performance and industry significance."

The first 'teaser' trailer of the film was played for the crowd at the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) conference earlier this year in New York. The GSCA conference is a 4-day annual event for the Giant Screen Film industry and member organizations, where over 260 organizations from nearly 30 countries come together. Intended for giant screen filmmakers, distributors, theatres, suppliers, manufacturers, and students it was the ideal forum for unveiling the adrenaline-fueled documentary intended for a giant cinema screen.

When the film is complete, it will be mastered for the giant screen. If you've experienced an IMAX film, you are aware of the sheer size of a giant screen film. The GSCA specifies that in order for a screen to be considered ägiant', it must meet the following criteria:

70 ft (21.3 m) wide, or 3,100 sq. ft. (289 sq. m) in total area for flat screens, or 60 ft (18.3 m) in diameter for domes, and Place all seating within one screen width of the screen plane.
