Tonight, RED and Outside Television hosted a private event at RED Studios Hollywood to commemorate the third installment of the REDirect competition. Attendees were treated to an exclusive presentation of the contestant videos in the 4K theater followed by the REDirect awards presentation. Contest submissions were reviewed by a panel of judges including the winners of REDirect Skate 2014 and Surf 2015 who scored each entry based on their cinematic qualities and narrative.

The REDirect Explore Grand Prize went to Isaac Sokol for his entry, "Into Dust." Valued at over $35,000, the Grand Prize package included a custom-engraved SCARLET-W camera system and the entire kit used during REDirect Explore including a full suite of RED camera accessories, four Zeiss Milvus lenses, 48TB G-Technology G-Speed Shuttle XL Drive, 1-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, a foolcontrol camera app license, and an f-stop Shinn camera bag.

Second Place was awarded to Jesse Hoffman for "The Process," who took home a SCARLET-W camera BRAIN. Joey Schusler won the Fan Favorite Prize and received a tripod from BENRO by getting the most 'Likes' on RED's 4K YouTube channel, Shot on RED, for "Pedal to Peaks."

"On the heels of REDirect Skate and Surf, the Explore series certainly did not disappoint. Isaac's "Into Dust" really captured the essence of REDirect combining beautiful cinematography with powerful storytelling.
